There was plenty of space in the property, and plenty of space outside for cars, bikes and a dinghy. The problem that we had with a lack of WiFi was sorted very promptly. It was good that towels for the beach were included. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen very good quality. The kitchen had plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils, including knives that actually cut, which isn’t always the case., We all enjoyed watching the antics of the goats at the adjoining small holding!
The interior didn’t look quite as good as the photos had shown. The walls and paintwork are showing signs of wear. The bathroom and hand towels were very poor quality and very small, especially considering that 3 of our party are over 6’ tall. The bedroom blinds were very light coloured so the secondary black out blinds were necessary and used. But it was a bit of a faff putting them up each evening. The benches at the dining table were very uncomfortable, so we had to use the chairs from the balcony table instead. The cupboard door on the first base unit on the LHS as you enter the kitchen is nearly off its hinges. We needed to open the cupboard very carefully to avoid doing more damage. The dishwasher needs rinse aid and probably salt too as we often found ‘rejects’ when we emptied it. There was no key for the back/utility room door, so we couldn’t use that door as we were asked to do. Neither would we nave been able to use it as an escape route had there been a fire. There was a key hanging on a hook, but it wasn’t the correct key. The latch for the gate at the bottom of the balcony stairs could only be opened from the outside. The ironing board is missing a pair of legs, so could only be used by resting it on the work surface in the utility room. The house manual is overdue an updating - it says Sunnyside has a blue door (although the door looks like it has been yellow for a number of years) and the key safe code is different; although to be fair that didn’t matter as by the time you are reading the manual you will have gained access. It just doesn’t give a very polished impression. It also mentions that rubbish and recycling do not need to be separated. So our first bin bag was rubbish and recycling. Then we noticed that there were black sacks for rubbish and clear ones for recycling, so we started using them appropriately.

House was amazing. Well equipped kitchen, clean, very functional.
The kitchen furniture ( the bench was not very comfortable during a dinner and night of card games). The broken fence panels were broken, we had a message saying they would be fixed on the Saturday which would had been perfect. We had two dogs so a little inconvenient having to take them out on a lead all the time as there were goats next door.

Great size and location of house, comfy beds.
We had 3 nights and 2 full days staying. We were told beforehand we would not be able to use the balcony however would be offered a 10% discount because of this (still waiting for this at time of writing). However when we checked in, 2 builders were working in the garden which was full of construction materials and waste. They were also there all the following day - sawing, drilling, hammering, cement mixer going. Unfortunately very noisy and working right outside bedroom windows so there was no privacy and we couldnt just let our dog out into the garden. Whilst i appreciate the work had to be done, we should have been told beforehand as im not sure we would have stayed with this intrusion to our family holiday. In normal times i think it would have been an excellent stay although i note that there are a few things in the house which need some tlc.
