Aishō Machiya by Shizuya Home

This is a beautiful traditional style home but with modern amenities. It has two toilets and a big bathroom. Every room has air conditioning unit so temperature was very comfortable despite hot weather in July.

It is a little house in a real neighbourhood. The decor was superb and really well thought out (dimmed lights set into wall and reproduction art). Teenagers loved it.

Our stay was excellent, and a big part of that was our wonderful host, Niru. Communication was outstanding from the moment we booked until after we checked out. Every message was friendly, prompt, and helpful. The check-in process was simple and well organized, with clear instructions and detailed information provided in advance. Niru was always available to answer questions and even took the time to recommend local attractions and festivals that were suitable for our family traveling with a baby. What really stood out was the genuine care and hospitality. Niru checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay and wanted us to experience the best of Kyoto. It felt like we had a local friend rather than just a host. I highly recommend staying here. If we visit Kyoto again, we would gladly book with Shizuya Home again. 很新,很乾淨,廚具及房間 ,擺設一切都很棒, 浴缸也很大, 水流很大, 熱水溫度適中,

一堆鍋子只有一個有鍋蓋, 非常不方便使用, 廚房沒有電子鍋,沒有小烤箱, 沒有微波爐,沒有踩地的布墊......。浴室及洗手空間一個共三道門, 兩道門隱私不足,裸玻璃缺乏隱私保護,半透玻璃也缺乏隱私保護, 建議至少裸玻璃要提供遮蔽布簾或百葉窗簾。距離地鐵站略遠,其他沒提到的一切完美或可輕易克服(沒有洗菜盆,燙菜煮麵條沒有撈網,垃圾桶擺放位置不方便丟棄, 提供5人住宿的冰箱偏小)
