Orchard Barn next to Bewl Reservoir, Ticehurst

The conversion has been done to a high standard throughout, so all the fittings were good quality and very clean. We particularly liked that the kitchen was well equipped with modern and rather new equipment. The cutlery was a full set and the kitchen knives were a set AND nearly sharp! That was a first for us in holiday home like this 👍😊 The bathroom was great, with good water pressure and a lovely walk in shower. Excellent 👌 The bed was comfy, and the setting wonderfully quiet and dark. Superb location to really get away in comfort. Our host Sue was very friendly and has obviously put a lot of thought into the cottage. Lovely job! We had excellent weather, which no doubt helped our very positive impression. WiFi was good. We also appreciated the welcome box of chocolate ginger biscuits and the very pleasant bottle of wine. Neither lasted long 😊🍷

Not a lot to dislike really! If we're being picky then a couple of j cloths for wiping down surfaces would have been nice. Maybe a bedside table both sides of the bed. Not a dislike, but be aware there's no mobile phone signal to speak of. But really that's the worst I can come up with 👍😊

Excellent cottage, everything you could want for a couple of days away. Hosts have added some many little extras - what can I say EXCELLENT.

Easy key collection, simple and efficient. Place stayed cool even on the hottest weekend of the year. Lovely large comfy bed. Shower was lovely and powerful. Quiet location. We loved the resident cat. We will be back.
