The house and the host are absolutely wonderful. The building is beautiful and for someone who appreciates architecture like myself, I found it a beautiful translation of traditional building style into modern comfort. It was spotlessly clean and I very much enjoyed the shoes-off-at-the-front-door policy - I do it exactly like this at home too. The location is perfect for exploring the old town of Mutrah. There is also good parking nearby and very good to reach if you drive yourself in a rental car. The house is also the home of two very friendly cats, who stay in the common area and were very quiet and sweet company. Most importantly I want to express my gratitude to the host, who welcomed me and made me feel at home. He takes wonderful care of this house and its guests.

Asaf was so so friendly and welcoming and he was very flexible with check out times. I was welcomed with dates and tahini and offered a tour and made to feel right at home.travelling alone as a woman I also felt safe. Would definitely come back and stay here, kittens were a plus too! The room was very comfortable for just myself, bed and sheets felt clean and AC working well.

Only didn’t like being on the ground floor as I couldn’t open my window blinds for natural light as it was right on the street so wouldn’t have privacy if I did

It was modern, clean, beautifully decorated and a few minutes walk to the Mutrah souq. Asif was so lovely as well. Lastly, they have the cutest cats I have ever seen in my life. They were so adorable.

Bait Mutirah is a true gem in Muscat!! The stunning location, beautiful boutique accommodation and relaxed atmosphere made for a memorable stay. We arrived almost three hours later than planned, yet our host welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The hospitality was exceptional, and the whole place has a peaceful, authentic vibe that makes it hard to leave. Very highly recommended.
