The Cottage Hearth - Walk to Picnic Grove Tagaytay

The place is really great since it’s truly within walking distance from Picnic Grove and also located along the highway. Another plus is that the parking is free, nearby, and spacious, with the parking area located at the back. Unlike other staycations where cooking is allowed, cooking isn’t permitted here, but it’s still convenient because you can easily have food delivered or buy from the store downstairs. They also provide an electric kettle for coffee and a microwave for reheating food bought outside. There’s a mini refrigerator as well. They also provide games, which is perfect for friends, siblings, or families staying together. Another plus is the heater, which is very easy to use. The Wi-Fi is excellent and strong, and the TV already has YouTube and Netflix available. The place is also very cold and relaxing since the air conditioner reaches even the lower area. Overall, the place feels very comforting and comfortable. My family and I would definitely stay here again. One thing to note is that guests are not allowed to wash the used plates, glasses, or utensils. You need to text or call the house help so they can clean them for you, which I think is okay as well. What we did instead was buy disposable plates, cups, spoons, and forks for convenience. Also, even though our booking was very last minute because we wanted to surprise our mother, they still accommodated us right away. I booked the place at around 6 PM, and we were already able to check in by 7 PM.

Cooking is not allowed. One thing we noticed was that one of the sofa legs in the living area seemed heavily slanted already, so it felt a bit unsafe and we were worried it might break while being used. Because of that, we just chose to sit on the other side instead.
