Appartement typique avec balcon et patio

Such a quiet, lovely, characterful, homely place. Well stocked with all utensils etc and a large fridge. Little balcony is lovely. Air con works very well. Perfect for 2 friends. Location just couldn't be better. 1 minute from a clean lovely beach with safe swimming and great restaurants and 5 minutes from centre of town by walking down to the beach and following the castle wall round to the left. Collioure is very pretty. Easy walking, wonderful little alley ways with lots of interesting shops, delis and cafes, buskers and a relaxing atmosphere. Deli almost opposite the Carreforre supermarket on the main road in to Collioure from the roundabout is great. If coming by car, park in the gracis carpark and get your weekly parking ticket from the attendant. If you want to unload from here to the apartment, there are steps straight down to the main beach road almost opposite the apartment road. For instructions on Rierre carpark: Drive past the town beach as if you are driving out of Collioure to Port Vendre on the Rue De La Democratie , at the end of the beach before the road starts to rise is a left hand tiny road parallel to it called Rue Du Coma Cheric. You then have a 90 degree turn right. At the end of this street there is a traffic light. Wait till it goes orange then travel along the very narrow street until you reach the carpark on the left. (its wide enough for an SUV). Same way out. Walking: You can walk to the windmill then on to the viewpoint near the fort, then over the back down road to lidl on Port Vendre and return via the road. Or go the opposite way- the other side through town and out, past the military training camp (no access) to the coastal path and fort behind and on. There is free parking on the street next to lidl Port Vendre, for some very sweet little coves to swim in. Drives along the coast to the other towns were lovely as were the trips inland to the vineyards and Pyrenees.

Mozzies coming in to the apartment. Sorting out getting sheets was a bit of a faff. I hadn't realised there were curtains across the bedrooms and not doors. Not an issue just something to note. Finding the nearest carpark Rierre was tricky - see instructions above!
