Downtown Skala Retreat Private Pool Prime Location

The property is in a great location on the very quiet street at the back of the main part of the village. It’s a 10 minute walk downhill into the heart of the resort and 2 or 3 minutes further to the beach. It’s a brand new refurb and everything is spotless and new. There is a car space on the driveway behind the pool. The pool itself was also new, beautifully clean and around 7m x 3m so fine for cooling down but maybe not for swimming lengths. A fabric awning has been put up on the stone patio area which gives good shade over table and chairs which have been added and which is a nice area for a morning coffee or evening drink. The pool surround and lower patio are astroturfed and the lower part of the rear of the property is a citrus orchard on rough ground. I had a couple of grapefruits from the tree which made a tasty breakfast. The kitchen lounge is generally well equipped with a decent cooker, fridge freezer dishwasher and coffee machine but no microwave. The two bathrooms have good rainfall showers and there was plenty of hot water from the solar heating. The twin room had comfortable beds and plenty of cupboard space with sufficient plugs for device chargers. We have suggested bedside tables would be useful in both rooms. The double bedroom has the bed against the wall on one side.

There was nothing that we disliked about the property. The key points are its great location if you’re looking for peace and quiet within reasonable walking distance of the resort centre, the fact that it is a brand new refurb and that it has a nice, if small, pool. The owners were also very pleasant and helpful with recommendations and I have no doubt that they would have responded quickly had we needed anything during our stay, but we had no issues.
