Palm d Away Stay for 6

Loved the location which was right off the main drag, and views from our units balcony were beautiful. Our unit was very nicely decorated with a beach theme. The pools were amazing and loved that they got cleaned every morning. Lots of amenities to choose from so kids had stuff to do. It was a fight to get a lounge chair by the pools due to families taking them for their kids who did not lay on them. Staff was very friendly, lots of parking space in the parking garage and the grounds were very nicely kept. Appreciated that each unit has its own washer and dryer so we could throw some clothes in as needed though again no laundry supplies so we had to go to local store to buy.

Did not like that there was not very good communication on the check in process. The instructions seemed to be old as they said I would be given a door code but in fact that system was replaced with key cards. I was given a few hours early check in but could not do it since that was not communicated to the front desk. Another bummer was that we were told there was a binder in our unit with instructions however we never found it. Could not find the bedding for the pull out sofa bed and it took rummaging through closets. Also a bit disappointed that there wasn't even any coffee filters to use, only given 1 extra garbage bag, not much toilet paper, paper towels for our week stay so we had to purchase these items at the local store. That added extra expenses that we were not planning on. The beds were a bit on the hard side. Upon arrival the second bathroom door the latch was broken and door would not close all the way. We also had a clogged tub in the master bathroom which left us standing in a tub full of dirty water - gross! Did not know who to call since the front desk said that they were not responsible each unit is owned by different people. My husband ended up fixing these things that I felt house keeping/owner should have addressed before our stay. Again better communication on who takes care of this or other issues in unit would have been great to know.
