3A Golders Green London

I travelled to London for a concert at Wembley. It was last minute booking, but honestly I got really lucky. The bed was comfy and the flat was modern. The owner was lovely! The room was cool but he took the extra step of giving us a fan and since it was new, he took the time to assemble it for us. The rooms were easy to get into and didn’t require a key. We got a large fridge with a little kitchen so definitely ideal for someone staying longer.

The building was hard to find (it ended up being down an alley way behind Starbucks). Upon arrival the front door was open (I thought it someone might delivering something or something along those lines). However, when I arrived back to the building after the concert it was still open (later I realised the lock on the door was broken and barely attached to the door) so this was a slight safety concern as the door was left open all night. In the room we didn’t get the basics like hand soap in the bathroom (thankfully after some digging we found some soap from the previous guest in the cupboard so that had to do). All the taps in the apartment only let out hot water (even in the shower - not the most refreshing when you’ve been boiling all day). The shower wasn’t the cleanest as it still had hairs and some grime in the corners and shower head. There was also a hole in the wall behind the bed. The owner also mentioned that if I had any issues I could call them. However, when the hot water issue came to light I could not find said number. Although it may sound like I’m nitpicking, the flat was good value for money considering it had transport links right across the road with plenty of food and corner shops surrounding the place. I also know it’s not the Ritz Hotel so I understand it won’t be perfect.

The location is superb, just a minute distance to the Golders Green station. You easily get the train and bus without any stress.

No room services, throughout my stay i was never contacted for room cleaning and change of bedsheets. There is no one on the property that you will contact physically for enquiry. You have to call on the phone everytime. Their customer service needs improvement. But they are excellent host with an excellent apartment in a superb location.

This was a small, new apartment with a kitchen. The kitchen had everything one could need to prepare meals. Everything was clean and new. The bed was very comfortable, and the host was very accommodating. He or she was nice about my confusion over my arrival time.

It is a new apartment so that I imagine everything will just get better. An elevator will hopefully be working soon, towel racks in the bathroom installed, and perhaps a small kitchen table and two chairs will be added.

Not really so clean, facilities not good, bed uncomportable, the wall between room is not good.
