Curlew Cottage - Peaceful Setting Stunning Views

Location was stunning

After a very upsetting start to our stay at Curlew Cottage, our host Pi went above and beyond to rectify the situation. As soon as she became aware of the issues we faced on arrival, she was with us within an hour. She cleaned what she could that evening and returned the next day with two members of her team, spending over six hours addressing the problems so that we could remain in the cottage we had booked, with its stunning view. Pi even sourced alternative accommodation for us, but our 86-year-old mum did not feel able to move, and we were grateful that Pi worked so hard to make the cottage comfortable instead. She replaced the sofa, secured the carpet with hazard tape, covered a hole in the wall, replaced a mouldy toaster, and generally spent the entire day putting things right. Everything that needed attention was addressed. On top of this, Pi provided a beautiful selection of gifts, including treats for our dog, and processed a refund through Booking.com immediately when I requested it, with no hesitation whatsoever. What stands out most is the kindness and care Pi showed throughout. We were fortunate enough to spend some time with her and feel we may have made a friend for life. We have even been invited to visit and enjoy her wild sauna, and would love to return for a wellness weekend with the girls. Pi, you made a lasting impression on all of us. Thank you for your kindness, your calm support during a difficult situation, and your determination to make things right. It was genuinely appreciated.

The host told us to collect the keys from a key box - there was no key box. It was also difficult to operate the TV. Otherwise, all was very good and the cottage had a beautiful view.

In the older part of the building the shower went cold when the other showers were in use.
