Puput's Olive Grove Escape

This rustic natural stone villa is as enchanting as its name: Puput. It means hoopoe, and if you have ever had the opportunity to hear the song of this rather rare, beautiful bird, you will realise that the Catalan name is an onomatopoeic echo of its call. As beautiful as the bird's striking plumage is the elegant little villa with its authentic Mallorcan look, which can be reached via a normal country lane. It is indeed a real gem, surrounded by a natural garden with olive trees, various Mediterranean flora, small purple flowers, wide grassy areas and delicate plant beds. The pool, lined with blue mosaic tiles, is the perfect place for cool refreshing moments. Relax before or after a dip on one of the nearby sun loungers, which you can also slide under the natural shade of the olive trees. Near the house, there are covered areas where there is enough space for a dining table and a lounge corner. The outdoor areas are attractively furnished with stylish and comfortable synthetic rattan furniture. As the brick-built barbecue station is located right next to the veranda, nothing stands in the way of a barbecue evening with the family. At the end of the day, leave the quiet, cosy spots outside, where all you can hear is the chirping of the crickets, and head into the cosy villa for the night. The layout of the house is extremely compact. Two comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms with a double bed or two single beds offer restful sleep and plenty of storage space for all your clothes. The bathroom is tiled in various earthy colours and has a walk-in shower. The living area is open-plan, so the cosy crackling of the fire should fill the whole room. The light-coloured sofas are arranged right next to the open fireplace; this is also the ideal place for a relaxing evening or two in front of the TV. The kitchen is visibly separated from the living room by a counter with two stools. The L-shaped country kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences to make cooking together a real pleasure. There is also a dining area if you prefer to have your breakfast indoors. Thanks to the air conditioning/heating and cosy fireplace, the house can be used all year round. During the mild winter months and the almond blossom season, it can be rented out at a very attractive price, which is why we warmly recommend this lovely casita. Treat your taste buds to some of the excellent restaurants in the area and burn off the calories with a bike ride or a round of golf on the beautiful Vall d'Or golf course so you can cut a fine figure on the beach at Es Trenc. known for its Caribbean flair.
