The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, bathroom is large and has an enclosed shower which is nice. Rooftop pool was clean and offered a good escape from the heat.

Our bus arrived in Hanoi rather early and we got to the hotel at 7am. We saw the night prior when we booked that they had 5 of the same room type available so figured early check in wouldn't be an issue and sent a message before hand informing them or our arrival time. They said they would do their best to accommodate. When we arrived we were told we couldn't check in yet and to go out and come back in a few hours so we stored our bags and did that. We got back to the hotel at 10am and were told our room would be ready in 5 minutes. Shortly after the story changed and they said we would have to pay 160,000K VND for an early check in fee if we wanted our room despite it being available... No other hotel during our travels did this and always went out of their way to try and help guests after a long bus or flight. Not this place. I said if we have to pay I'd rather just wait. Then she said she will let us check in for free at 12pm... So I had to sit in the lobby for an extra 2 hours when our room was sitting available. How rude and blatantly greedy is that? After paying for the room (at the start of the stay) another staffer called up to the room to ask for payment AGAIN. Frustrated at this point we went down to inquire what was going on but the other desk girl just assumed we hadn't paid yet. Whole experience just felt very money focused and NOT guest focused whatsoever. Additionally, the free breakfast buffet is exclusively Vietnamese breakfast (rice, noodles, soup) with limited other options aside from fruit and cereal. Location is kind of in the middle of nothing, need to walk a few kms to reach the majority of restaurants and activities in the area. Wouldn't book here again given treatment and amenities, I prefer to give money to local businesses who actually value their guests experience and time. Even helping with bags goes a long way, and nothing of the sort happened here.
