Ben and his team were so welcoming, food was amazing! Our kids had a great time running around. We appreciated the little touch of adding a mosquito net for our kids, thank you! We loved our stay!

We would suggest to add a small pathway of flat rocks outside of the showers to avoid having to step in the dust right away. Other than that we only wished we stay longer!

Betelnut is a beautiful and peaceful place, secluded from the rest of the world. It is as authentic as it is charming. The food is generous and delicious, and travelers looking for this kind of authenticity are what bring you there. We stayed for 5 nights! The staff is lovely. Herche, who speaks perfect English, was a great help to us. The beach is unique and offers beautiful scenes of local life every evening, with residents fishing as the tide goes out.

However, the place remains somewhat disconnected from the rest of the village, contrary to what we had imagined from the Instagram page. Perhaps the absence of Ben and Jane during our stay contributed to this lack of connection with the locals that we had hoped for

Un posto davvero speciale, il modo perfetto per concludere il nostro viaggio in Indonesia. Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni come in famiglia, in una pace assoluta, immersi nel silenzio e nei suoni della natura. Le ragazze in cucina sono gentilissime, sempre sorridenti e disponibili, e il cibo è davvero delizioso: colazione, pranzo e cena preparati con grande cura, genuini, leggeri e ricchi di sapore, proprio come a casa. Un ringraziamento speciale va a loro e a Herce, sempre estremamente gentile, disponibile e con un inglese perfetto. La spiaggia davanti al lodge è splendida (attenzione alle maree!) e con una piacevole passeggiata di circa 30 minuti si raggiunge il villaggio di Ratenggoro. I tramonti, poi, sono semplicemente spettacolari. È un luogo isolato, ma mai solitario: ci si sente accolti e in compagnia, pur restando completamente immersi nella natura. Un’esperienza davvero meravigliosa sotto ogni aspetto. Un grazie di cuore a Herce e a tutto lo staff per aver reso questi giorni indimenticabili. Unico consiglio: portate un buon antizanzare per la sera!
