Glenholme Country House

It was huge and spacious. 3 big bedrooms with 2 single or double beds each. Each room has its AC installed, a closet that fits all my belongings, small carpet in between beds and side tables. The flat also has a complete kitchenware and utensils, balcony with sofa, living room with TV and big sofas/couches, swimming pool outdoor, wide backyard, friendly dogs and cat and kittens, and a cute horse. Washing machine is working fine, and we were able to dry our clothes in the balcony using the clothes rack. The staff are approachable and resolve any issue or concern immediately. Safety is proven. Most importantly, there’s a bidet in the bathroom and in the master’s bedroom’s toilet.

The bidet’s tube keeps coming off the faucet in the bathroom and it’s quite complicated when turning the faucet on. The bathtub drained so slowly that we couldn’t really use it to take a dip. The chair and the balcony door in were quite dusty, as were the railings. The swimming pool was not that cleaned enough when we decided to take a dip, but we still managed because there’s a pool skimmer in the area.

Spacious and stylish my second visit ,I stayed for 10 days s few years ago Glenholme Country House felt like a peaceful hideaway in Luxor. The rooms are airy and clean, with high ceilings and interesting, tasteful design touches throughout. The pool and roof deck are excellent for cooling off and relaxing, and the house stays pleasantly cool during the hottest part of the day. Great location for visiting the Valley of the Kings and other historic sites in Luxor, with friendly hosts who made our stay comfortable.

I stayed one night at Glenholme Luxor while researching retreat venues, and it exceeded my expectations. The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming, making everything smooth and stress-free. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared. Everything I needed was there, and importantly, the bed was comfortable! The setting is green and peaceful, with a pool and a roof terrace to soak up the atmosphere of the desert landscapes and local life. The location is excellent, with easy access to the West Bank sites (including the Valley of the Kings) and convenient access to the East Bank via the new bridge. There are also supermarkets, cafes and transport options close-by. My research is now complete, and I can honestly say I love this space. I would happily return and highly recommend it.

It really was perfect for my needs!!

I loved the location, being somewhat in the countryside and away from the city centre hustle and bustle. Loved the hosts Mahmoud and Kathryn and the absolute care and attention they gave to me and my friends 24-7. They were wonderful, helpful, and went put of their way to give us an authentic and meaningful experience in Luxor. Besides being lovely and interesting persons! As an animal lover, was really happy to spend time with their cat and dogs. And let's not forget the horse!
