Woodside Retreat – Private Barn with ensuite bedrooms, 3 Hot Tubs, Sleeps 18

Woodside Retreat is a spacious, single-storey countryside retreat, ideal for families, friends and groups looking to spend time together in a peaceful rural setting.

The accommodation has six ensuite bedrooms with zip-and-link beds, giving you the option of king or twin setups in each room. There is also space for a cot, making the layout flexible for families and mixed groups.

Large windows and patio doors open out onto the extended terrace area, which enjoys the early morning sun and lovely views towards Bulbarrow Hill.

There are five ensuite shower rooms with large walk-in rainfall showers, heated towel rails, wash hand basins and WCs. There is also one ensuite bathroom with a full-size bath, large walk-in rainfall shower, heated towel rail, wash hand basin and WC, plus an accessible WC in the hallway.

The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped, with memory foam mattresses, plush pillows and duvets, fitted wardrobes, dressing tables, bedside tables and full-length mirrors.

Each suite has its own open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The fully equipped kitchens include induction hobs, double ovens, dishwashers, under-counter fridges and under-counter freezers, with dining space for up to 6 guests in each suite.

The lounge areas have comfortable leather sofas, coffee tables and wall-mounted 50” Smart TVs, with doors leading out onto the sunny patios and garden area.

At the heart of Woodside Retreat is the larger function and living space, perfect for everyone to come together. This includes a dining area with seating for up to 18 guests, a comfortable lounge with six sofas, and a 75-inch Smart TV, ideal for socialising, relaxing or celebrating together. A fully equipped kitchen adjoins the function space, along with an accessible WC for added convenience.

Woodside Retreat has been developed in a contemporary style from single-storey barns previously used to house our small farm animals. It retains some lovely period features, including wooden beams and brickwork, while offering modern, comfortable accommodation.

Outdoor Area

Woodside Retreat enjoys beautiful views across the Dorset countryside and towards Bulbarrow Hill, the second highest point in Dorset.

The property has level access to its own extended patio with picnic furniture, making it a lovely spot for outdoor dining, morning coffee or relaxing together in the fresh countryside air.

There are three private outdoor warm bubbling hot tubs, along with an open-plan lawn area where guests can enjoy the peaceful rural setting.

Please note that Woodside Retreat is located on our rural working farm and does not have an enclosed garden. There is a wooden post-and-rail boundary fence at the edge of the garden area, with electric livestock fencing on the field side. Warning signs are in place, and children must be supervised at all times around outdoor areas, hot tubs, farm boundaries and livestock fencing.

The Victorian Barn is set within 65 acres of glorious countryside, with shared estate grounds, lawns, patio areas, lakes and rural tracks to enjoy during your stay. As this is a working farm and countryside setting, guests may encounter farm boundaries, livestock fencing, electric livestock fencing, uneven ground, lakes and rural tracks around the site.

There is ample parking, including extra-wide spaces.

Our onsite EV charger means you can visit the sights of Dorset and return at the end of the day to charge your vehicle for a stress-free stay.

Woodside Retreat is a wonderful choice for group stays, family gatherings, celebrations, retreats or time away with friends.

The generous central living and dining space sits just across the hall from the suites, making it easy for everyone to come together while still having separate bedrooms, bathrooms and smaller lounge areas to retreat to.
