My key card didn’t work so had to come down over and over again but the helpful man on reception was so helpful … :)

Lovely, clean, comfortable warm hotel. Only stayed the one night, but have stayed there twice before - and intend to return !

Only problem was the wash basin in the bathroom, had only one tap, with only cold water, so had to use the bath tap for warm water.

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay,maybe the room was slightly too warm

I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the room it was spotless. Many years ago I cleaned in hotels so obviously I tend to check. I can honestly say it was the cleanest hotel room I have stayed in. Well done housekeeping Management and staff. Thank you

Good location and comfy bed.

Poor quality food in the restaurant and took forever to serve the food. No coffee available for breakfast as the machine was faulty. Bathroom floor flooded when the shower was used.

A pleasant welcome, followed by a comfortable and clean room. We had a couple of drinks in the bar, served by pleasant staff Overall good value for money.

Lack of staff. Keys that did not work and needed staff to assist even after a change of key. The fact that anyone could enter the lift to the rooms. Most hotels require you to use your card to enter the lift and get through doors to your rooms.

Good stay for an overnight break to see show at M&S Arena

Bed was big and comfy, room was fine. Didn’t make use of the leisure facilities. Most of staff were v helpful. Was travelling into Liverpool to the arena. Train station was 10 min walk away and regular trains.

Shower head worked but wouldn’t stay up so had to hold it to have my shower which was a pain but advised front desk who promised to fix it for subsequent guests. Breakfast was ok. Only dairy free milk they had was oat milk which as a coeliac I couldn’t have but had GF cereals, bread and did me a GF sausage. Plenty of staff on at breakfast and all v helpful

Poor leisure facilities and sleepless night

Leisure club meant to open 8am at weekends. Staff still cleaning and some facilities unavailable by the time we left at 9am.. Pool area overall poor. We paid for this hotel so we could use it Sunday morning but found it inadequate. This was after a sleepless night due to couple in next room having a loud screaming argument in the early hours.

Poor experience

Too important things that we was not happy with. One was the temperature of the room. Even after following the instructions we could not change to a comfortable temperature so we had an awful night sleep. Secondly, was we was attending a funeral. I just wanted the room for five minutes to get changed but was charged the hourly rate which worked out at £30. The room was already available and ready so Goodwill Chester would've been appreciated as it cost the Hotel nothing. I could understand if you had to prepare the room which would mean putting a member of staff on that particular job. Very disappointed. Completely opposite experience at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.

Temperature of the room was a little high at night, didn't bother to find out how to adjust it, but was OK generally, didn't stop us sleeping. Extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work, but wasn't a big deal.

Stayed when this hotel was new, tired an rundown now, needs a make-over. Staff lovely.

staff were pleasant and always willing to accommodate. Cleaners did a good job and bar and restaurant staff were very helpful. Rooms were lovely and air conditioning worked well. Beds

No skimmed milk for coffee, wasn't warned of wedding booked for a Saturday night. Bad smell in bathroom, bathroom door looked wet at the bottom as if it had flooded? Vegetarian breakfast choice was mainly continental. Just another choice of healthy food would have been good. Pizza was not good, thick base shop bought with cheddar cheese, no healthy choice for vegetarian on menu, didn't feel like a restaurant, more like a cheap dinner. Swimming pool was too warm and dirty, wont be using that again.

DO NOT BOOK, TERRIBLE STAFF

The breakfast is nice.

The staff and management were extremely disappointing, the only polite team members were housekeeping. The manager was rude to guests, communication was nonexistent, and overall the service was unacceptable. I would rate this 0/10. The behaviour of some staff also came across as discriminatory.
