Laburnum is a modern, beautifully presented lodge set within the wonderfully appointed Gwalia Falls Holiday Retreat in Tresaith, Ceredigion. Perched in a stunning hilltop setting overlooking Tresaith Beach, this welcoming lodge is perfectly placed for guests seeking peace, natural beauty, and easy access to one of West Wales’ most celebrated Blue Flag and Seaside Award–winning beaches.
Just a short walk from the lodge lies the charming village of Tresaith, with its friendly pub, lively restaurant, small shop, and café. The bay is a sheltered 250-metre stretch of golden sand, facing northwest and ideal for swimming, surfing, sailing, windsurfing, and classic beachside fun. Children and explorers alike will enjoy the rock pools, while all visitors are captivated by the dramatic waterfall that tumbles over the cliff directly onto the beach.
The area forms part of Cardigan Bay, renowned for its wildlife and exceptional coastal scenery. From Laburnum Lodge, the Wales Coast Path is easily accessible, linking Tresaith with neighbouring Aberporth. Close by is the beautiful, National Trust–managed Penbryn Beach, where walkers often enjoy sightings of seals and dolphins gliding close to the shore.
The nearby village of Aberporth, only a few minutes away, has 2 beautiful sandy beaches, coastal eateries, and local amenities—perfect for fabulous days out. A short drive further brings you to the historic market town of Cardigan, with its independent shops, castle, riverside walks, and vibrant food scene.
