Orlando greeted us with a lovely honeymoon surprise - a welcome drink and pastries, both phenomenal, then showed us quickly around the house, explained everything and wished us a nice 5 day stay. We were able to park on the street literally steps away from the entrance to Casa Mamá Conchita which was really convenient. The photos don't do the casa justice, the ceilings must be some 5 meters high, there's plenty space, the decor is lovely and very local with some framed newspaper articles about history of Los Silos dating way back, and it all feels like a cozy home. The cleaning was absolutely perfect, both bedrooms were ready with bedding etc. (I asked for this, because it's always good to have backup for those snoring nights;) and there were all the kitchen utensils you might need (including a couple of good quality pans, potato peeler, salt and spices and coffee capsules etc., you know, a fully equipped and well stocked kitchen, which is fantastic!). There's also detergent, washing machine, a spacious rooftop terrace, one bathroom with a shower with good water pressure and we had no problems with hot water at any point of our stay, and there's also another bathroom or toilet to be precise. Wi-Fi was super fast (beyond 300/300Mbps at times) and covered the living room, dining room, kitchen and the master bedroom from what I can say. Individual check-in time and check-out time was no problem to arrange with Orlando and we simply had a fantastic time in Casa Mamá Conchita. Gracias por todo, Orlando!

The apartment located in the village of Los Silos was an excellent location to explore the island. It's close enough to walk to the beach and being in the historic part of the village was charming. We headed straight to the market in the town square at the end of the street for fresh produce on Sunday morning.

The extras that were left e.g. eggs, bread, wine etc was a lovely touch especially as the house is in a small village and had no late night shops.

This is a seasonal comment. We visited in July and we found it very warm in the house. A couple of plug in fans would be a good addition especially for night time when the windows and doors couldn't be left open.
