The shower head is fabulous; strong water pressure. Amazing bathroom facilities and experience.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The bedsheet was stylish, but very uncomfortable. The fabric was so rough it scratched my face a couple of times during the sleep.

Yobuko, beautiful part of Karatsu — serene, quiet & great place for boating, fishing, biking & etc. Hotel is part of the “Whale Town Revitalization" project, dispersed hotel with the main building, 3 old houses renovated, and related shops and restaurants Explore. stunning scenic drives, roads that wind through beautiful rice fields and coastlines Rooms. New boutique stay. I was in room 404 in the main building with only 8 rooms (the building was a former squid restaurant), a “superior quadruple room”. My room had great views of the Yobuko port and to just watch the sky painted in different shades throughout the day, light flooded in especially towards sunset. Good amenities from Leaf & Botanics, skin care from Fukuoka based GemiD, all plant based ingredients. Bring your own drinks though, as only two tiny bottles of water are provided ( tea and coffee are available in the second floor lounge) @ the hotel. Jin6 Sauna is super popular with day trippers, understandably so as it has good facilities including multiple sauna rooms, sun loungers, multiple baths including an outdoor glass cold bath that is accessed via a spiral staircase. Ground floor has cute souvenirs for sale. Hotel is in prime location to relax and experience life in town: the delicious breakfast was just 2 minutes down the road, next to their Aroma Distillery shop, beer brewery & dessert restaurant. The Yobuko morning market had all types of grilled seafood and snacks, sadly it is only a morning phenomenon Prices. $235 breakfast included

Room 404 could be more clean, in the sofa area, there were hair on the floor from the previous guests and liquid stains. Also, they should consider opening the sauna an hour earlier and reserve this time only for hotel guests

We stayed in the 2/3 bed unit above the ‘shaved ice’ shop. A traditional minka that was beautifully restored. On our last day we spent the morning in the spa which is simply amazing! Well done for having the vision to use hospitality (hotel and restaurant concept) to bring life back in to the village of Yokubo

If i have one issue, it is the darkness in the room at night time. A simple concealed black out that can be operated by the guest would be a solution that could sit between the shoji screen and the outside window. The other issue is the illuminated green Fire Exit sign within the room. This is extremely bright at night time. Normally hotel rooms do not need an exit sign within the guest space, so it is probably as a result of the restoration of the old property. I suggest having a chat with the Fire Bureau to see if can be relocated outside the sleeping space or simply cancelled Other than these two items, the place is amazing
