Winooski got its name from the Abenaki dialect and means “where the wild onion grows.” Inside, guests will find one bedroom with a soothing space featuring a king bed and the other bedroom with a full-size bed. You will also have a living room with a convenient full-size Murphy bed. Climate control keeps the apartment pleasant year-round with heating and AC. It was a very nice stay! Place was clean, the host left great dinner recommendations, we were provided accommodations to do laundry while there, and it was quiet/peaceful! The only downside for us was that there was not AC even though it was mentioned in the posting - fortunately several standing fans were provided and it was cool outside so we were able to sleep with the windows open. We would stay here again!

We loved our visit to the Onion City Retreat! Laura is an excellent host, and the apartment is lovely, spacious, clean, well-equipped, and located very conveniently in Winooski. The view of UVM and Camel's Hump from the relaxing deck is terrific. We enjoyed the entire experience, and we look forward to staying here again.
