We spent 4 nights in the house mid July. The house is located in a quiet area, just outside town. Connection to the city by bus is good!
The house is very cosy, spacious and comfortable for 4 persons, even for 6 it is perfect. It’s located just up the hill, with an open view on the city from the living room. The bakery nearby is convenient (just a few minutes walk) as well as a family mart. The owner is very open and friendly, he also gives useful tips to explore the area. On his recommendation we walked the Otaru coast nature trail, a beautiful hiking tour that you can start from the house. I highly recommend this accommodation.
I cannot think of a negative point, unless maybe the lack of cutlery when we arrived. But the owner responded to this very quickly.
