Fantastic very old hotel with every modern convenience, spacious room, comfortable beds, friendly staff, delicious Chinese breakfast, great coffee, a real Zen garden to relax in what more do you need. Real China! together with more than 1000 years of history in a wonderful tranquil setting without all the usual tourist traps and crazy traffic. It's located in a watertown named Luzhi, like a hidden gem close to Shanghai city. Two nights was not enough I will be back!

The hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant within it but there are dozens of very cheap and nice eating places within a short walk.
