This hostel is a quietly run business in the downtown area of Paraty. It's basic but well organized and homely - managed by the effervescent, motivated, and lovely Agatha. Kudos to her for starting something in this area of Paraty. The local people are friendly, helpful and you are a 7 min walk to the city hubbub. The river across the street is a lovely place to sit and watch nature or the activities of various boats. Rooms, bathrooms are clean with hot water shower. WIFI is good and you have a place to keep items in a fridge. Supermarket is 2 mins walk away.
Somewhere into the future an upgarde of matresses, and maybe more solid bunk-beds would be a great asset.
It might be a challenge to keep up all the top reviews but I wish Agatha all the luck in her business, she works hard and deserves the reward of passing travellers.
The rooms could use an electric mosquito deterrent. Mattress a bit thin.

O hostel é muito tranquilo e aconchegante... A Agatha é um acontecimento da natureza... Vai te receber bem, te auxiliar no que for preciso e é sempre atenta para que tudo esteja correndo bem com a sua estadia... Fica em frente a um rio lindo com as clássicas embarcações de Paraty estacionadas em suas margens... animais silvestres e o dogs da rua sempre presentes quando você estiver contemplando a natureza. Daqui escrevo do começo de uma grande e linda história que está só começando!!
