Kings Cross - St Pancras Central

Great communication. Lovely welcome. Proper beds for everyone (no sofa beds). Really clean. Well equipped. Good location. Little shops nearby. It’s a compact, but good value apartment. For 5 of us it was perfect for a weekend. We were out most of the time, but I think we would have missed a sofa if we were there for longer. The manager was lovely and even arranged to send back a charger we managed to leave behind.

It was very hot, even though it wasn’t a particularly hot weekend. There were multiple fans, but it wasn’t still too warm. The road was noisy at night (so you couldn’t really keep the windows open). We expected this though from the location, so it wasn’t a surprise.

Loved the facilities and availability of full kitchen essentially Location was also pretty good with central access to London via Kings cross underground

Nothing not to like

Neat and tidy apartment - just as the photos show. Up one flight of stairs, well insulated from the noise. Was great to have a working kitchen with coffee and tea provided. The location was handy to public transport and Kings Cross Station so was a great base for seeing London. Highly recommend the Vietnamese restaurant downstairs.

Was a bit squishy with people and suitcases so had to get creative with where to put things but we made it work.

The host is great! Its location is close to train station for easy transit. 9/10 if you are a group of friends travelling or backpackers. However, not ideal for a family with children.

If you are a group of friends or backpackers, this accommodation is ideal. However, I would not recommend it for a family with children. It is on an “unsavoury” street which feels very unsafe to walk at night and the building itself is unpleasant. The flat is actually designed as a one-bedroom flat but the lounge/kitchen area has been converted to a sleeping area for two extra single beds. The problem with this is that you are on the street end and its impossible to filter out the noise from the street with constant police sirens going past the entire night. It was very disturbing. The apartment needs some work - the bathroom was untidy and dilapidated with paint from the ceiling falling off. The linen did not have a fresh / sanitised smell and the apartment in general had a musty smell.
