Apartment Anika by FiS - Fun in Styria

The cosy, homely feeling. The place had all the things you might need. The host was very efficient with clear instructions. Tip..the large silver hotel style unmarked key in the apartment key box is the key to the poolhouse not the apartment. This was not clear until I nearly locked myself out thinking i had a spare key. This is great though as you dont need to go via the caretaker or leave a key deposit and its a good sized pool. While the location is quiet with plenty of parking it is quite a walk to the village. Great parking...could use some trees for shade though. The bed was comfotable and spotless with great bedding amd towels provided. The bathroom was very nice and modern with a great shower and washing machine. The view of the Grimmig mountain was beautiful.and for a motorbike trip the apartment is well placed for trips to the nearby lakes and fantastic roads and all your gear is easily stowed here. The thermal baths and sauna nearby is brilliant.

The balcony was grubby with old uncomfortable furniture. It is fully in the sun, great for winter sport but with no parasol or sun screen like an airless furnace in high summer. It also rains into the balcony due to poor design. Dog owners are welcome which is annoying when you get woken up by yapping dogs in the corridor right next to your bedroom window every morning. The bedroom is very dated with terrible lighting and it feels stuffy and airless. There is no airco however the apartment seemed to stay cool which was ok. There was a garage being used as a workshop under the apartment and metal grinding noises on three mornings was not great.
