The flat itself was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and there was a nice view.
We were extremely disappointed with this property. On arrival, our immediate reaction was that we didn’t feel comfortable staying there at all.
The flat is located in a high-rise council block, which was not made clear in the listing and felt quite misleading. The surrounding area felt unsafe, particularly arriving for the first time, and the overall environment was not somewhere we felt at ease.
The communal areas were in a very poor state — dirty, neglected, and unpleasant. The lift was especially concerning: it was filthy and felt unreliable, to the point where we were worried it might break down.
Overall, the condition of the building and the atmosphere made it impossible for us to relax. Regardless of the interior of the flat, the setting completely undermined the experience.
On top of this, there were maintenance issues inside the flat. The bathroom drainage did not work properly, causing water to flood the bathroom and leak into the hallway,
