Tucked away in the picturesque Hudson Valley, this lakefront property offers a serene escape just two hours north of New York City. Situated on the tranquil shores of a private lake, it provides easy access to the Catskill Mountains' outdoor adventures. The charming town of Hudson, known for its antique shops and vibrant art scene, is a short drive away. Nearby, you'll find the historic city of Athens, with its quaint riverside charm.
NOISE
We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 10 AM. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited. If this policy is violated, you risk immediate eviction.
PETS ALLOWED
This is a pet-friendly home. Our pet fee is $350/stay charged at check-out. The fee goes to the cleaner for the extra work required after a pet stays. To adhere to the "Good Neighbor Policy," please remember to keep your dogs on a leash when outdoors, and don't forget to clean up their waste. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities.
WILDLIFE WARNING
The area around Wander Sleepy Hollow Lake is home to insects, bugs, and other lakeside animals. Please refrain from fully opening the glass doors for prolonged periods to minimize wildlife from entering.
OCCUPANCY NOTICE
This home follows a strict maximum occupancy rule. Please make sure that the total number of guests accompanying you (including both children and adults) doesn’t exceed the indicated maximum occupancy above to avoid cancellation of your stay.
Documents, waivers, and registration forms for review will be sent to renters prior to arrival.
HOUSE AND COMMUNITY RULES
BOAT POLICY
Guests are not permitted to bring their own boats, whether powered or non-powered. Only boats provided at the property are permitted for use, as they are registered with Sleepy Hollow Lake.
FISHING POLICY
Fishing is allowed, but to help maintain the ecosystem at Sleepy Hollow Lake, we practice catch and release. Do not keep the fish. Please be aware and courteous of others and their property while fishing. New York State fishing regulations and licensing are applicable at all times.
COMMUNITY REQUIREMENTS
This home is located within the Sleepy Hollow Lake community, which is managed by the Sleepy Hollow Lake Association of Property Owners (APO). The APO requires a set of forms and waivers to be completed before arrival. These include general rental documentation, amenity-use waivers, and basic vehicle and guest registration. Completing these forms is necessary for smooth entry into the community and to comply with APO policies.
SAFETY NOTICE
Swimming in the main body of the lake is prohibited. The main body is defined as the middle area of the lake, outside any of the smaller coves or the larger cove at the North end of the lake. Swimming in coves is allowed at your own risk. Swimming off private docks located in the main part of the lake is allowed, but do not swim past the dock. Swimming in the roped area at the Lodge Beach is permitted. No swimming in the lake after dusk.
When the lake is frozen, no one is permitted on the ice for any reason. Ice conditions can change quickly.
AMENITY ADVISORY
Vehicle Passes
The home includes five laminated vehicle passes, which are reused for each stay. These must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard when accessing the community and amenities. All vehicle passes must remain at the property and be returned at checkout.
Guest Access
Guest wristbands and access cards are required for amenity access and must be returned prior to departure.
All wristbands, access cards, and vehicle passes are located in a bowl on the living room table. Please return all items to this location before checkout. Lost or unreturned items will incur a replacement fee of $50 per item. These fees are assessed by the community and will be charged if items are missing after departure.
SECURITY
For security, there are cameras on the exterior of the front and side doors and cameras facing the driveway at this Wander. There are no cameras inside your Wander home.
