About this apartment rental

This lovely bright apartment, sleeping 6-8, is on the first (top) floor of a south-facing 3-storey chalet and has magnificent views through wide picture windows across Morzine. Just 6 minutes' walk to the SuperMorzine lift across the footbridge, and 5 mins walk to the shops/bars of Le Bourg area. There's a garage included with this property, very useful for storing mountain bikes and skis / boards. 1 car can be parked right next to the garage.

From the lounge the truly amazing view is of the Pleney ski slopes, and if you turn to the left you'll see the peaks of Nyon and Chamossiere. Down below is the river Dranse and the tennis / padel courts.

The apartment has a separate fitted kitchen (with all the usual mod cons), and a lounge / dining room opposite. The dining table seats 8, and there are 2 sofas, a TV (with Freesat TV) and a DVD player, free Wifi, and double doors out onto a balcony which runs along the sunny valley side of the apartment. There is a fireplace with a small electric fire. Leading off the lounge is a bright double bedroom with the same amazing view! Next to the kitchen is one modern shower room / WC, and at the end of the corridor is a utility room with washing machine, plus a second shower room and WC. There is a large quad bedroom (double bed plus full size bunk beds) and a small bedroom with full-size bunk beds.

Separate fitted kitchen has the following equipment: full size oven, under counter fridge, drinks fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, Filter Coffee machine, Nespresso machine, Fondue set

It takes 6-7 min (450m) to walk to the SuperMorzine telecabine across the footbridge, and another 5 min to walk across town to the Pleney slopes (or you can jump on the free "little train" service instead). It's 5 min walk down to the Carrefour supermarket (and also to the Dixie, Rhodos and Robinson Bars, the Clin d'Oeil and Improviste restaurants and a great bakery!) It's super-easy to walk to the SuperMorzine lift; but you can also catch the free "M" bus service to the lift at Ardent: the bus stops 50m across the road from the apartment and runs every 30 min in the mornings and afternoons.

WHAT'S INCLUDED: Winter season: Bedlinen, towels and end of stay cleaning are included. Spring/ Summer / Autumn Season: bedlinen and towels are included. End of stay cleaning is payable locally and costs €80. In peak season Winter and Summer there is a minimum 7-night stay, Saturday - Saturday: outside of these periods our minimum stay is 4 nights. DAMAGE DEPOSIT: We take a €300 Damage Deposit on arrival, either in Euros or £300 in Sterling cash, or by credit / debit card if you pay minimum 1 day before arrival. We refund this deposit on your departure as long as we are able to check the chalet properly on your departure. If this is not possible (if you are leaving very early or very late) we will withhold the Damage deposit until we have received the keys back and have been able to check the property, and we will then return it to you by bank transfer. Please note the deposit rises to €500 for mountain biking groups.

We're available by email or phone from the moment you book, and we can give you information on all the resort facilities and services. I (Rachel) will be the person who checks you in on arrival and will probably be the one that checks you out too - I live 10 mins down the road inEssert Romand. We've been running Mountain Highs for 30 years now so we've amassed a wealth of knowledge about Morzine, the locals and the wider area!

Geneva Airport transfers: We operate our own airport transfer service in our licensed taxi minibus, which seats max 8 passengers in comfort with plenty of luggage space (VW Caravelle 4 x 4 long wheel base). We can offer shared transfers or private transfers, always door-to-door (unlike some transfer services who will drop you at the bus station!) – contact us for a competitive quote (Prices range from €95 per person return based on 4 travelling together, down to €66pp return for 8 travelling together) / €530 for a private transfer.



Lift pass purchase: We are able to arrange your lift passes in advance of your stay, so that they’re ready on your arrival at the apartment. We can take payment for these by credit card or bank transfer in advance, or cash on arrival in resort. We offer lower rates on area and local passes than you can buy in resort. For rates for your chosen stay, contact us.



Help with arranging child care or babysitting: we have contacts with the in-resort childcare companies and can make the initial enquiries for you. For ad-hoc babysitting we have a list of trusted contacts and can put you in touch with them after you have booked.



Start-up grocery shopping: for those arriving too late to be able to buy supplies on your first day, or if you’re arriving by airport transfer, if you contact us with your shopping list with 2 days’ advance notice, we can purchase and deliver your first days’ groceries for you, with a small charge of €20.



Full or part-catered service: we work with several highly recommended freelance caterers who can provide a combination of breakfasts, afternoon tea, daily cleaning, children's suppers and adults 3 or 4 course dinner with or without wine included, and also a dinner delivery service.
