Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the Vacation in architectural monument foundation (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society. Car park: A private car park is available in front of the house. Public transport: Take bus 6 from the main railway station in the direction of Spitalzentrum to Eichhölzli/ Pt-Chê. The bus stop is 250 metres around the corner from Haus Eichhölzli. By car: From the motorway take exit 28 Biel-Ost, follow route 6 to Hermann-Lienhard-Strasse and Berghausweg to Im Eichhölzli 12. Kitchen: no dishwasher and oven. No dining table in the living area - only on the terrace. Bicycles: Can be parked in the garage. Number of persons: 2 (1 double bed 140cm) Garden: Terrace with view over the city and table plus chairs. WLAN: Is available. Open: The house can be rented all year round.
