Village description: Situated at 1700 metres above sea level at the foot of the Albula Pass, the village is characterised by the stately patrician houses of the Albertini families. The most striking is the Chesa Merleda. The Engadine farmers' and patricians' houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries give the twin village of La Punt Chamues-ch a very special charm. Particularly worth seeing are the early church of St. Andrea in Chamues-ch with its paintings and frescoes and the baroque church in La Punt, built in 1680. As a centrally located village, La Punt Chamues-ch is the starting point for challenging mountain tours and easy hikes. Families with children are welcome guests. Both the 18-hole golf course in Samedan and the 18-hole golf course in Zuoz/Madulain can be reached in 5 minutes. In winter, the Müsella ski lift offers ideal conditions for children and beginners.
