La Casetta di Vacone is located in Vacone, a small village of about 240 inhabitants, immersed in the green and olive groves of the Sabine hills, 30 km from the cities of Rieti and Terni. This characteristic detached stone cottage is a two-room apartment with amenities and enjoys the perfect mix of nature and privacy. In the area there are many walking trails (Cammino dei Borghi Sabini : on the tracks of the Goddess Vacuna - stage 4 and stage 5) among nature and if you wish, you can also plan horseback rides. Less than 1 km away is the Bosco Pago forest, excellent for walks and suitable for barbecues in the open air. A250 m from the Casetta are the remains of the Roman villa of Orazio Flaccco. The historic village of Vacone houses the castle dating back to the year 1000 and the fountain.
