Visit the Almendro en Flor festival in February with music, dancing and free almond and palm wine or the patron saint festival in honour of San Mauro Abad in August. The Barranco de Izcagua and the forest of El Fayal are highly recommended excursion destinations nearby. A popular market, the Mercadillo, is held in the village at weekends, selling local produce, wine, cheese and handicrafts.
