The quiet location is ideal for relaxing away from the stress of everyday life. Horben is located in the Black Forest, just 10 minutes by car from picturesque Freiburg. The village is a good starting point for excursions in all directions: The Black Forest offers marvellous hiking opportunities in summer, while in winter the pistes and cross-country ski trails beckon. From the Kaiserstuhl, you can get a first impression of the impressive size of the Black Forest. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the Baden Wine Route offers the opportunity to take part in rural wine festivals and cheerful feasts. In neighbouring Alsace, you can enjoy a real tarte flambée with your wine and get a taste of France. Switzerland is also within easy reach: The cultural city of Basel is only half an hour's drive away.
