Discover the charm of the Dutch countryside in our beautifully converted 1836 farmhouse 'Onder de Eiken', located in the heart of South-West Drenthe. This region is known for its national parks, with a breathtaking landscape of forests, heathland, and shifting sands - perfect for cycling and hiking. Access to the Drents-Friese Wold is within walking distance, and other natural beauties such as the Aekingerzand, National Park Dwingelderveld, and Weerribben-Wieden are nearby. The famous Giethoorn, the 'Venice of the North', is also nearby. The spacious front house of the farm (140 m²) is fully and tastefully furnished, equipped with central heating, wifi, and a non-smoking policy for a comfortable stay. The living room offers a spacious seating area with Smart TV, Blu-ray DVD player, and Sound System, in addition to a cupboard full of DVDs, board games, and toys for the kids. The separate kitchen is equipped with a dining area, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric oven, while the dishwasher and washer-dryer are located in the utility room. Sleeping comfort is guaranteed by a double bedroom downstairs (with Smart TV and Blu-ray player) and four double bedrooms upstairs, three of which have box-spring beds and a washbasin. Two cots and two extra beds are available on request. Outside, you can enjoy a terrace and garden at the side of the house, equipped with garden furniture and BBQ. A bicycle shed is available behind the farmhouse, along with ample parking space. Guests have private access to the front house, where privacy is guaranteed despite the proximity of the owners. The area around the farmhouse 'Under the Oaks' offers not only access to beautiful natural parks, but also cultural and practical amenities. Within walking distance you can reach a supermarket, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlour, an award-winning bakery, souvenir shops, a tourist office, an archaeological museum, a dolmen and the National Park Drents-Friese Wold.
