Around Winterberg, 7 mountains offer a total of 25 lifts and 34 downhill runs with a total length of 27.5 km. Around the Kahler Asten is a beautiful cross-country skiing area. Winterberg also has a bobsleigh track, while Willingen (20 km) has a ski jump. But there are also several ski possibilities there. In summer, you can water-ski in the Hillebachsee ( 2km). There is a sunbathing lawn, a sandy beach and a children's nature pool. Niedersfeld has mini-golf, tennis courts and a go-kart track. The village of Hildfeld is surrounded by extensive forests and nature reserves. For a sporty holiday, this is a prime location as several hiking trails and mountain bike routes run past the village. The Rothaarsteig but also several other shorter hiking trails are marked out in the terrain. A complete cycling route network with around 250 km of mountain bike routes has been constructed in the area. The hills and mountains, present a challenge for racing cyclists. Climbs of 15% are no exception. Winterberg offers various other facilities such as a 9-hole golf course and a bobsleigh track and summer toboggan run. There are also several amusement parks in the immediate vicinity (e.g. amusement park Fort Fun in Bestwig). There is also an indoor pool and wellness in Winterberg.
