Casa Lucas, less than 1 km from the village of Vega de San Mateo, is a luxury holiday or rural accommodation, ideal for families. The tranquility is all around the house, a feature that makes it even more attractive. Porch-dining room, with exceptional views of San Mateo. Recreation area, which consists of a swimming pool, with another house completely fitted out for barbecues, with an interior bathroom. Laundry area. The house has air conditioning and heating. It has a large parking area. It has a comfortable, open-plan layout: Kitchen-dining room with everything necessary (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, vitro-ceramic cooker and all the small electrical appliances for daily use). Two bathrooms inside the main house, one of the bathrooms with Jacuzzi bath and the second bathroom with Jacuzzi shower. Three bedrooms with double beds. The municipality of Vega de San Mateo has a privileged location, 21 kilometres from the capital and 8 kilometres from Santa Brígida, strategically placed in the centre of the island, from where you can easily access any other point of the island. The Vega de San Mateo covers an area of 37.89 square kilometres and rises to an altitude of 800 metres, in the Central Massif where the highest elevations of the island are to be found (Pozo de las Nieves). The summit is defined by the headwaters of the Barranco Guiniguada, Barranco de la Higuera and Barranco de la Mina ravines and, together with the fertile agricultural plains, forms a mosaic of different landscapes that define the municipality, which is also privileged - apart from its geographical situation - for its natural richness and fertility. The Barranco de la Mina ravine crosses the island of Gran Canaria towards the northeast and flows into the island's capital. La Mina has a small flow of water thanks to the centuries-old transfer of water from the Tejeda basin to the Guiniguada basin through a gallery that crosses the mountain, which is why it was christened La Mina. San Mateo also shares with Tejeda the "reign" of the Gran Canarian peaks, since - as mentioned above - in its vicinity are the highest peaks of the island: Pozo de las Nieves, Los Pechos, Roque Saucillo and Montaña Constantín, all reaching almost 2,000 metres above sea level.
