Ski areas in the immediate vicinity: The two ski areas Rusel (with Haussteinlift) and Geißkopf (Geißkopfbahn, Parallellift, Nordhanglift, Riegellift, Forsthauslift and Babylift) are each 10 to 15 minutes away and are operated by the Geißkopfbahn. The main advantage for skiers is the introduction of electronic reading systems, so that in future one lift ticket will be valid for both ski areas. The Geißkopf ski area (1100 m) with 6 lifts and 8 runs of varying difficulty has 4 ski and snowboard schools on site. A fun park completes the offer. The Forsthaus downhill run, Geißkopf men's downhill run and Nordhang downhill run are covered with artificial snow. A floodlight system on the 1150 metre-long main run allows skiing on the Geißkopf on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 9.30 pm. Floodlight skiing is also possible on the Rusel on the same days. Golf courses: 10 minutes away is the 18-hole course of the Deggendorf Golf Club on the plateau of the Rusel Pass at an altitude of 840 metres. A driving range and a 3-hole practice course are available. In the season from April to November, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the terrace of the clubhouse after your game. The Oberzwieselau golf course is located in a hilly park landscape about 20 kilometres away. The clubhouse with its terrace forms the centre of an 18-hole championship course harmoniously embedded in the landscape.
