Waterloo Paradise with Rec room, Workspace, Park and close to St Jacobs Market

Lots of space for family to spread out. Kitchen very well equipped. Access easy with door code. Owners friendly and helpful once we got in touch (see below). Bedrooms generally very comfortable and showers worked well. Helpful getting staff to look for charger I thought I left behind.

There were issues with the house being heated during a warm spell and took a while to get the controls working and the house to cool down so spent an uncomfortable first night. Think part of post check-out checks should be to calibrate thermostat to current conditions. Once I got a hold of the right person, we were able to improve things but it took a while. Tenant uses part of driveway and a bit difficult to pull in past them with larger car to where we were supposed to park.

The location was very quiet, with a nice park nearby. The beds and linens were comfortable, there was lots of space to relax and spend time together, and the full kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. It felt welcoming and practical for a group stay.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. This isn’t a “luxury” property, but it’s a comfortable family home or friends’ getaway, and it does that very well, with nice décor, comfortable furniture, driveway parking, reliable Wi-Fi, streaming services, and games. It didn’t need to be luxury to be a great stay.
