The staff, in particular ( ) was truly a god send! His help in many ways was invaluable and he truly displayed a genuine interest on one's safety, needs and a sharply tuned and keen willingness to assist where he could. The property itself is a monument to art decor and the location is a 10 out of 10!

- Great location for CBD, in walking distance of all the tourist attractions in CBD, 5 min walk to the main walking tours and excursions office, nextdoor to Eastern street food market which had great huge portion food for cheap. Walkable to main nightlife places - 10 min walk from my fav gym Gym in CBD (MyGym Fitness studio) - 10 min walk from my fav supermarket in CBD (Food lovers market) - 24/7 security and there's plenty of people and police officers around the area, so I had zero safety concerns - has a gym in the building, which was basic but good enough for basic workouts - Host let me check in early which was appreciated - good washing machine - had all the smaller things I needed, iron, blender, cooking tools etc... - host was nice and considerate - Cbd is significantly cheaper than other areas such as Sea point and Green point Please note that CBD itself can be loud, dirtier, with more homeless people etc... But it's a good area to stay if you want to do as many touristy things as possible or you want to experience more of real Captonian life. Other areas such as Green Point and Sea Point are lovely but basically 99% tourists, so it depends what you prefer and are looking for. I spent time in CBD and Sea point and they're completely different. If you have time I would recommend spending some time in CBD (museums, walking tours, restuarants, parties etc...) and then staying in Sea point (beaches, sunset views, more chilled) to get the best of both worlds

- While Mutual Heights is somewhat of a historic building, it's pretty old and run down now. This is pretty common in Cape Town, there's quite a lot of older building now that could do with more renovations - it was summer (January) and while there's pretty good airflow in the apartment it gets hot in the sleeping area, but I bought a fan and left it in the apartment for any next guests. Which helped a lot - as it's close to the main action, there's quite a lot of noise from the streets and wind (in summer) - could do with a deeper cleaning - advertisement said it had aircon, but it 100% does not (sounds like an honest mistake from the host), but that was one of the main reasons I booked the place lol
