Downtown A2 Gem - Next to Hospitals, Stadium & Restaurants

The location was perfect for a visit to the University of Michigan-no car needed. On the same block as wonderful restaurants, shops and nightlife. Host called to make key return easier than pick up, which was greatly appreciated. Very close to a reasonably priced overnight parking garage, too.

It was a studio apartment with only one double bed not an apartment with two beds, as described. Yes, there was an air mattress but not what we were expecting. Picking up the key at a location 1.5 miles away was also not in the description and did require a car. Also needed hand towels in bathroom.

Location and the comfort an apartment gives. Prompt response from the host even during the middle of the night.

I did not know how to put heating on. Another thing, not really important, I lost my luggage on the flight and they do not deliver it to a hotel without reception. A lamp next to the bed is also appreciated, which was missing. These are all only minor points.

The room is really comfortable and the service is perfect. The location is also in the middle of downtown.

Provide some drinking water.

The location is very very good! Very easy to get to U Michigan main campus and there are a bunch of restaurants nearby so it's super convenient. The room was also bigger than I expected for this location and decently decorated. The host was responsive to messages.

First, it was very hard to get the key. I had to pay 30 extra dollars to uber to a different location, making it less meaningful to be close to the bus station (I was planning to walk over after taking the Michigan Flyer from Detroit airport). Second, the room was not clean. The kitchen floor was very sticky. I told the host immediately but I don't think they sent stuff to clean it as they promised to. They also said they'll bring some more towels which they didn't do. Third, the wifi was very slow and I couldn't do facetime calls. Fourth, on the second to last night, there was no hot water. The problem was not fixed in the morning so I couldn't shower or wash my hair that night and then morning, and I worn a hat at work for the whole day; it was not convenient. The host refused to get me a refund though they promised to compensate through a future coupon discount if I return to their place as a returning guest.
