Let’s start with the check-in. The booking was for five people. I arrived first on my own (and somehow I already felt things might not go smoothly). My stay was from March 14 to March 16. The property manager had requested personal documents for all guests via email, which was sent on March 3rd, 2026. However, when I arrived at the building after check-in time, around 3:40 pm, there was no registration completed, meaning there was no way to access the apartment. The receptionist—who does not work for Booking, but is responsible for registering guests for facial recognition—was rude and showed no willingness to help. I then had to contact the property manager via WhatsApp to understand what was happening. After resending emails and all documents again via WhatsApp, we were finally able to access the apartment. The property manager even accused me of not having sent the documents. Once again, the email had been sent on March 3rd (and I have proof). When I pointed this out, I was told that emails are checked twice a day. Frankly, it didn’t seem like that was the case—that was my response. I then received the following reply: “We can solve this immediately, quickly and without problems, or we can argue about whether the email was received or not.” I found this response rude and inappropriate. Meanwhile, I was left waiting at reception with someone who clearly did not want to assist me, depending on a team that had failed to do what was required in advance. Check-in was at 3:00 pm; I arrived at 3:40 pm and still had to go through all of this. I was alone at reception with a staff member who was not helpful, did not respond politely, and did not properly answer my questions—only repeating that there was no registration for me. After a few minutes, she asked me to bring my entire family to reception for facial recognition. However, she was still waiting for my registration to be approved (which she did not inform me about).
