The ideal place to meet up with family or friends in a relaxing place... in the middle of nature and quiet!
The group and stopover cottage "Le Combalou" is located 1 hour from Lyon and 50 minutes from Saint Etienne, in Riotord – Les Setoux, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
This cottage has 24 beds divided into 7 rooms including 1 room for people with reduced mobility (shower + sink and separate toilet). Number of sanitary facilities: 5 showers and 7 toilets (including 2 PRM).
A large multipurpose room of 74m2 with furniture and crockery for 50 people as well as the professional equipped kitchen allow you to gather family and friends around a large table! The ideal place for your stays with family or friends, birthdays, family reunions or weekend hiking/cycling or mushroom hunting!
You can also enjoy the large terrace equipped with a large picnic table for 24 people and its barbecue, as well as the garden, with a panoramic view of the Monts d'Auvergne (Mezenc, Lisieu, Gerbier de Jonc...).
The cottage is located at an altitude of 1150 meters.
HERE, NATURE IS TRANSFORMED OVER THE 4 SEASONS!
With each season, the landscapes change and are adorned with magnificent colors: in spring and summer, hiking, cycling, horseback riding in the immense pine forests, with panoramic views of the Alps and Mont Blanc on one side and the Monts d'Auvergne on the other side.
In winter it is possible to practice cross-country skiing or snowshoeing (Burdignes Nordic Area) in wonderful snowy landscapes. In autumn: mushroom picking and beautiful colourful landscapes!
HERE, IT'S A PARADISE FOR HIKING AND CYCLING!
... Explore the many trails during your walks, bike rides, or horseback riding!
The cottage is at the crossroads of the GR7 and the GR65 (Way of Saint Jacques de Compostela). We also welcome pilgrims and hikers or cyclists by the night on weekdays (from Monday to Thursday).
HERE, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET BORED!
... Discover the Haut Pays du Velay, the Pilat Regional Nature Park and the nearby Ardèche to practice their many sports, fun or cultural activities near the Gîte.
Nearby: visit of farms or a craft brewery, treasure hunt, artisanal candy factory, tree climbing, trampoline in the trees, swimming, planetarium and mining museum, little tourist train, Via-Fluvia (cycle route), rail bike, fishing... etc...
