About this farm stay rental
This house sits on 3 acres and is surrounded by woods and hills. It is 150 yards from the owners house, separated by pastures and hills. You can hear the soft trickling of Yankee Run Creek from the front porch. It runs right next to the house and can be a great playground for children.
The Guesthouse is located in Toronto, Ohio, just 15-20 minutes from Steubenville, 1 hour from Downtown Pittsburgh, and 1.5 hours from Akron/Canton. It is tucked away from the main road and is surrounded by woods.
IMPORTANT: Bathrooms
Our Guesthouse is equipped with two state-of-the-art European waterless toilets. We like these units, which save our aquifer many thousands of gallons of water every year. They operate like any other toilet with two exceptions: They do not use water, and there is a baffle built into the toilet that keeps the solid waste separated from the liquid waste which keeps the odor away. For that to happen, everyone must sit down to use the toilet, including men and boys. Otherwise, you will use the toilet like any other toilet.
The inside of the house is very spacious, with three bedrooms (one small bedroom/library downstairs) and two full baths, fully equipped kitchen, inside and outside fireplace, and a library/play area on the side of the living room. We supply all your basic necessities, such as cookware, utensils, and wood! The kitchen has handmade pine cabinets with lots of room for cooking and storage. You can explore the woods, play in the creek, have a bonfire, or just relax on the swing set on the front porch.
