About this house rental
Charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath home on a private, quiet half-acre corner lot with an inground private pool.
Walk, run or bike only a quarter mile through the neighborhood to the Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT), then it’s just a short stroll or roll on the SRT to the heart of downtown Travelers Rest (TR). Tandem Creperie and Coffeehouse is one mile down the trail.
Take the SRT another 1.75 miles from Downtown TR to Furman University. From there go another 4 miles, and you’re at Swamp Rabbit Café and Bakery, then a mile to the Commons and Unity Park, and another half mile to Reedy Falls/Downtown Greenville.
The home is also the perfect base camp for road and mountain biking, hiking, trail running, in the Blueridge Mountains and foothills. Four major SC State Parks are easy drives: 15-minutes to Paris Mountain, 25 to Jones Gap or Table Rock, and 35 minutes to Caesars Head. Pleasant Ridge County Park is also only 15 minutes away and has great mountain biking. So does the Saluda Confluence Recreation Area, which is only 10 minutes away! For the even more adventurous NC’s DuPont State Recreational Forest is 40 minutes away, and Pretty Place and Brevard are less than an hour, and the Pisgah NF gateway is about an hour.
The house itself is cozy and well-kept/appointed, including a fully equipped kitchen. Two full sofas in the den make for a great family hangout spot and movie night. The master bedroom has a queen and full bathroom. The “kids” room has twin beds, and the other bedroom has a queen. The front porch is screened. There’s a full laundry room. We also have an air mattress, a highchair and a pack-n-play.
The backyard is a highlight, featuring mature trees, flower beds, a 6’ privacy fence, MUCH taller thick privacy shrubs, and a storage shed for bikes and gear. There’s also a carport (great rainy-day hangout spot), back deck with grill and dining table.
The pool is 36’ x 18’, and has a cabana with bar. It’s tucked behind some of those tall privacy hedges and a code-compliance lockable pool fence within the 6ft-privacy fence. (The pool is open in the summertime only.)
