It is in a good location. We actually walked from here to the old town in 30–40 minutes. It is a renovated flat in an old building, with a supermarket next door. It is spacious, with 3 bathrooms, so it is great for larger families. Big kitchen. The place does not have AC, which is common in Portugal, but it had several fans throughout the flat.

The property says there is parking available, but they do not clarify that it is only a “blue zone”, meaning street parking limited to 2 hours! This could have ruined our trip. I asked them repeatedly about the parking situation, and they hid this important detail. Luckily, we found a large repair shop nearby that allowed us to use its private parking, but only during their working hours. This meant we could not take the car out at night. This is another “remote host place”, where you collect the keys from a lockbox in the wall. We had a problem with the lock and could not enter the property on time. It took them a while to send a locksmith to retrieve the keys, so we only got in at 5 p.m. Even after all that, when we asked for a late checkout as compensation, they refused.
