Lovingly restored, with care
I found very large waterbugs in the kitchen

The location was perfect for easy access to the ferry for Shackelford Island and Cape Lookout as well as the Core Sound museum and Davis duck decoys. The two restaurants on the island are also nearby. We really enjoyed the sunsets! The house is wonderfully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and very functional. Loved the deck with a grill as well. The screen porch was great for morning coffee.
We wished that we could have stayed longer! We did not know that the Cape Lookout lighthouse is under repair.

Rural and quiet but a short drive to several towns. I loved the giant live oak.
