Apartments Kressl

We had a wonderful time at this property. The room is very large, the location is super convenient (right next to a supermarket – perfect for buying groceries and cooking our own meals), and it's an excellent base for experiencing countryside life. Everything in the apartment was complete and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant.

The only minor downside: there are no screens on the first-floor windows, so quite a few flies kept getting inside. Chasing them away got a bit annoying. If the owner could add window screens, it would be absolutely perfect.

Great apartment, very well equipped (with quality appliances, fixtures, faucets), beautiful dining table, and extremely friendly host. Apartment was also very clean and they had power sockets on every wall!! It was so convenient! It's also located 15-minutes away from Hallstatt, perfect for anyone planning to visit Hallstatt!

Note that some units are on the 2nd floor, and some on the 3rd floor (Ground floor is 1st floor). There are no lifts.

The apartment is really nice and very well-equipped. It feels spacious yet cozy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need: a coffee maker, a kettle, a dishwasher, and a toaster. The apartment is very clean. The apartment is located in the center of Gosau.

The way the host communicates is unpleasant and annoying for guests. Although we had a reservation with a pre-set payment due by a certain date and had provided a credit card on Booking.com—from which other hosts typically automatically charge the amount on the due date—the host began contacting us regularly over a 9-day period (a total of 3 times) to remind us that our payment was approaching and to ask us to pay into his account immediately. Given the current prevalence of fraudulent online transactions, this is a practice I don’t understand. We therefore ignored the host’s emails until the due date, and as always, the amount was charged to our card on that date. But that wasn’t all. Four days before arrival, we started receiving daily emails requesting online check-in, which again required us to provide our card details and a €200 deposit, refundable within 7 days of departure provided no damage was caused. We do not understand this method of communication in this day and age. This is also why we would not recommend this accommodation, even though the apartment itself is very nice, cosy and clean.
