great location spacious pretty comfy beds

the shower’s, in main bathroom, handles are broken so the water was scalding hot- not ideal when there’s 3 kids that need a quick wash. no sheets on beds bathroom in en-suite unusable which was such a shame hallways stunk of cigarettes but I think that my be due to the neighbours either side of the apartment.

The property is very spacious and the location is excellent, especially for families with children. It is close to the beach and there is plenty of space in the house. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped with a good selection of utensils and crockery.

Unfortunately, there were quite a few problems with the property. We had read previous reviews mentioning cleanliness issues, so we came prepared. Before letting the children settle in, my partner and I spent time cleaning the property and wiping down surfaces ourselves. There was a strong damp smell throughout the house, so we had to use fabreeze, and put yankee candles on ( again we came prepared) in several areas to make it more comfortable. The stairway leading into the house and the stairwell leading towards the bin area were particularly dirty. The carpets also need a proper deep clean or replacement, and some of the tiles need replacing. There were several maintenance problems. The shower was broken, so we could only use the bath. The upstairs en-suite toilet was also broken and could not be used. The neighbouring property was another issue. There was dog mess around the neighbouring area, which was visible from the window and when taking the bins out. The shared gate area was also frequently occupied by the neighbour and their dog. There was also loud music from the neighbour. On one occasion, the neighbour even acknowledged that they were playing loud music. The beds were uncomfortable and could benefit from better mattresses. We also did not use the complimentary refreshments because they appeared as though they had been there for a long time and did not look fresh. Overall, the property has a lot of potential because it is spacious and in a great location, but it needs more investment in cleaning, repairs and general maintenance. Fixing the damp smell and the broken bathroom facilities would make a big difference.
