UP NORTH HOTEL formerly Voyager Inn

Stopped here for the night on the way to Taqanaman Falls. It seemed empty at first because the parking lot is hidden in the back. The room was clean and had what we needed. The pool was good. Breakfast was a bit lacking. Kind of expensive but it was the best option at the time in the U. P. and not far from the highway.

It was clean and the staff were helpful and kind. They are under new management and in process of updating some things. So the rooms were outdated, lamps were discolored and not in good shape, but they worked. If they want ideas on updating, I’d replace the flooring in room and bathroom with vinyl, mount the TV on the wall, put the mirror across the coat hanging area. Update the dresser and chairs for table. Lastly update the lighting. I’d put end tables on both side of bed. But this place has potential and it was totally fine for a place we were just sleeping at. The pool and hot tub looked clean but we didn’t get a chance to use them. My guess a long time ago people used to smoke in rooms, you could smell it, but they can’t do anything about that unless they replace everything including drywall. It fit our needs. Would stay there again.

The room was really nice we stayed across from the pool but they really need to have a bigger breakfast selection like scrambled eggs bacon when you book them they advertisement they advertise breakfast but it's just muffins and coffee and boiled eggs so you're kind of disappointed in that but other than that it's a good place to stay The people in the staff is really nice

Couldn't believe this place was fully booked. Would stay here again anytime.
