The bed here is THE BEST BED. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud every night. I almost didn’t even want to go out and explore this city I’d never before visited, lol; THAT is how comfortable it was! All other elements in The Loft are exactly what a person would want or need from a weeklong rental (I stayed for 10 days), including a nice TV & comfortable couch, plenty of storage space to unpack and feel “at home,” fully-functioning kitchen (I regret that I didn’t take advantage of the panini press!), and even a great big hidden cabinet in the bathroom, to keep cosmetics out of the way. The property is an easy 10 minute walk from the Arch, and it’s only another 10 minutes down to the water. Lots to see and do (and eat!… and drink!) along the way. Highly recommend.

I had two small moments, when I first arrived, of worrying about how busy the street in front of The Loft might be. I worried first about what the noise would be like all day/night (a valid concern for anyone who is a light sleeper, or is sensitive to sound), and then I wondered about safety (“busy street proximity” will be a consideration for anyone who has kids; “vibe of the area” is a concern for me, as it would be for any woman traveling alone). But I am happy to report that the traffic sounds never bothered me, and that I never felt unsafe. I am always careful, regardless — but also the area is great.
